Care you can check
Profiles carry experience, qualifications, languages, rates, and reviews, so you compare people rather than promises.
Caregiving marketplace · Canada
Sequoia connects Canadian families with independent caregivers — for an afternoon of companionship or ongoing daily support. Every caregiver is verified before their profile is visible.

Profiles carry experience, qualifications, languages, rates, and reviews, so you compare people rather than promises.
Book a one-time visit or a recurring arrangement, and change it when the week changes.
Search, messaging, booking, payment, and the record of each visit live in the same app.
How it works
Four steps, all in the app. Nothing is agreed over a phone call, and nothing is paid in cash.
Create a profile for the person who needs care, choose the categories that fit, and set the schedule and budget you have in mind.
Read experience, qualifications, languages, rates, and reviews. Search by city and distance, measured in kilometres.
You see the full price before you confirm, including the platform fee. Book a single visit or a recurring schedule.
The caregiver clocks in when they arrive and out when they leave. Notes, tasks, and duration sit in the visit record for you both.
Care categories
A caregiver can support more than one category. You choose what a visit needs when you set up the care.
Trust & safety
A caregiver cannot be booked until an administrator has read the documents and approved the profile.
Sequoia is a marketplace, not an agency. Caregivers are independent and are not employees of Sequoia. Every page of our safety policy is public — read the Trust & Safety page.
For caregivers
Sequoia is a place to find caregiving work and get paid for it properly — without handing your schedule, rate, or client list to an agency.
Families see your experience, qualifications, and reviews because an administrator has checked them. That is the point: your work is credible before you speak to anyone.
Questions
Sequoia is launching in Canada. Caregivers are searched by city and distance, so you can see who is genuinely nearby before you book.
No. Sequoia is a marketplace. Caregivers are independent, set their own rates, and choose the work they accept. Sequoia handles discovery, verification, booking, payment, and the record of each visit. It does not employ caregivers.
Before a caregiver can be booked, an administrator reviews government ID, work eligibility, a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, an Adult Abuse Registry Check, and the qualifications for the categories they offer. The profile only goes live once that review is complete.
Each caregiver sets their own hourly rate. Before you confirm a booking, the app shows the total for the visit, including the platform fee, so the amount you agree to is the amount you pay.
Payment is made in the app. Card details never go to the caregiver, and the caregiver's earnings become available after the visit is completed.
You can cancel from the app. Cancelling inside the free window costs nothing; cancelling later can carry a late cancellation fee, and the app shows that fee before you confirm the cancellation.
